dnf groupinstall mate-desktop
dnf groupinstall mate-applications

list available desktops

dnf grouplist -v hidden | grep desktop

Install the desired group:

dnf groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

Or, use the short group name to install:

dnf install @mate-desktop-environment

remote access and ssh tunneling

baloo

balooctl disable
killall baloo_file_extractor
killall baloo_file
